Barcelona have said they will not sell Frenkie de Jong, although Manchester United have agreed a deal.
Kenan Barcelona are skeptical of the deal, perhaps wanting more money on the deal before releasing the player.
United last week agreed a 56 56million deal with Barcelona for the Netherlands international.
However, Barcelona president Joan Laporta said: "[De Jong] is a Barca player until we intend to sell him and we will not sell him."
De Jong joined Barcelona from Ajax in 2019 for 65 65m plus an additional 5 9.5million on a five-year deal.
BBC Sport understands that talks between the two clubs are still ongoing, but Barca are dragging their feet on the Premier League club.
If De Jong returns to United, he will play under Erik ten Hag, who took over at Ajax.
Laporta added: "We are aware that many clubs want to sign De Jong, but for now we will not sell."
