Pogba is close to moving to Juventus

Paul Pogba is set to return to Juventus after his contract expired at Manchester United last season.

The 28-year-old France international is expected to undergo a medical at the weekend and then sign a contract extension.

Pogba joined United from Juventus in 2016 for 89 89m at the level of the most expensive transfer in the world.

United failed to agree a deal with Pogba to continue playing at Old Trafford, and then announced in June that the France international would be leaving the club.

Pogba is expected to start training with Juventus next week as she prepares to travel to the United States for pre-season training.

Juventus will play a friendly in the United States against Barcelona on the 27th, followed by a three-day match against Real Madrid.

For two seasons in a row, Juventus are fourth in the Serie A table, 16 points behind champions AC Milan, who won the trophy last season.

Juventus have suffered a setback after winning Serie A nine times in a row, with Pogba contributing to the trophy between 2012-13 and 2015-16.

He scored 34 goals in 178 appearances for Juventus, who returned to action in 2012, after his contract expired at Old Trafford in the club's youth ranks.

In his first season at Old Trafford, Pogba won the League Cup and Europa League from there and began to face challenges.
